Congratulations RWS! ( Band number 16 )
So we see, our hard works got paid off! How awesome eh?
Bear in mind that we're given the Gold award just that that 15 minutes on stage. We may be awarded Gold for this SYF, but we might very well be a bronze band for the next performance if we get complacent and such. Don't keep having yourself bask in the glory of the Gold award. It is the past already. Instead, strive on to bring RWS/ our music to greater heights!
It's getting late, so rest well tonight!

Hey RWS!
Tomorrow is THE DAY to showcase YOUR MUSIC!
You guys have practised for months for this SYF. I'm sure you guys do not want to have your efforts go to waste right? So tomorrow, apply/reproduce whatever you have learnt from the various conductors on stage. Pay attention to the minute details. Listen out for one another. Be ALERT! Look at Mrlim, and RESPOND! Don't get distracted by your surroundings. Don't lose all these things just when you get nervous or excited! Anticipate what's coming.
We only have limited 10 minutes in the tuning room. Please do make your movements fast. Take the responsibility to tune to the person beside you.
Ensure that you have your complete band uniform: band badge, vest hook, socks etc.
Do sleep early, rest well, drink lotssssss of water!

There will be Night practise tomorrow! Please be in school by 5.30pm in your school uniform, or school based shirt with pe shorts/ school bottoms.
Please do rest early, and drink lots of water. Can't afford to have any more people sick. :)

Hey band..
It is just a week left to SYF. As you can see, one week is not much time. Please remember what the various conductors have taught us. Use their concept for the two pieces, APPLY whatever you have learnt to your music.
Yes, we reap what we sow. However much or whatever we practised is reflected in our music. How do you want to sound? A lazy sounding band with many hiccups in their music, or a strong band with all the details in the music displayed?
Don't lose hope. Please do motivate/ encourage each other during this period of time.
Remember, hard work will always be paid off. I'm sure you guys don't want your effort to go to the drain. Each and everyone of us should put in our individual effort.
Believe in ourselves, and believe in our band!
7 days is all we have left now. Either you use it, or lose it.

If not, at least read through your scores, remember what we have been taught by MrLim/ Ms Loh/ MrLim, APPLY.
12 days is all we have left. Time is running out. Either we use it, or lose it.
Band camp tomorrow! Please be in school by 7AM in your PE attire tomorrow. Make sure you bring your files, notebook, water bottles etc.
Do drink loads of PLAIN water, and rest early today. The next few days are going to be tiring, and we don't want any more people to fall sick.

Please dont just practice your instrument for the sake of practicing it, solve the parts that you cannot play or the parts that you may not get it right all the times (:

Hey band members.
Our SYF date has been confirmed and we are Band number 16. We will be having our competition on the 30th March, 3.30pm. We will be playing after Serangoon Gardens Secondary School, and before Bedok View Secondary School.
So yes, now you can see how limited time we have left. ONLY 27 more days!
We really really don't have much time left, and we definitely can't afford to repeat our mistakes! Remember what MrLim and MsLoh has taught us. Put them to application, don't lose them. Use your sectionals/ personal practise time wisely. Take the time to solve your problems. We still have loads to improve on! Intonation, articulation.. etc.
REMEMBER, only 27 MORE DAYS!
Do motivate one another throughout this period of time. Not only are we suppose to improve individually, we must improve as a band! Motivating each other will be helpful. :)
Anyway, there will be no night practise tomorrow.

Please do take some time out to practise your instrument with a tuner or a metronome or best, use both. Go through all your parts, make sure you know your pieces inside out. Apply what MrLim has taught us. Remember, what we reap is what we sow. Whatever results we want to get, depends on how much effort we put in. Now you choose.
