Hey guys, some pointers that will be helpful after today's practice.
first of all, the band size has been bigger already because our alumni and seniors are back to play! of course we are grateful for everyone that came back:) however due to this, we must be careful with our sound. last time without seniors and alumni, our size was much much smaller so we of course have to project our sound more. but now take note of parts in the songs that the whole band plays together, or have a solo, so that we wouldn't sound imbalanced. (SLs please take a look at conductor scores!) and do not blast... this will help greatly and our problems concerning intonation and sound might be alleviated slightly and in turn, Mr Lim will be able to help us more.
secondly, from tomorrow onwards, we only have 22 days left til our concert date. as you all know, some people's houses are available for sectionals. please make it a point to have your own sectionals outside of band time as these official band practices are for Mr Lim to help us further, not correcting mistakes that we can do by ourselves, e.g. rhythm, pitching.
you guys can do it if you all want to. the concert will be a success if everyone puts in their 120%!

Band, please be serious about this concert and you all know we don't have much time left; please know/practise your own stuffs before coming. When we get everybody working, we can have a better result... so everybody please put in effort and do your part!
Any questions regarding your pieces, feel free to approach your section leaders or student conductors. Juniors, if you have any questions please don't be afriad/shy to ask your seniors! Let's all work together for this, and take good care of yourselves! (:

Exams are over for most of us and congratulations on the results
that you guys have worked hard for for the past few months=)
Welcome back our seniors who are done with thier N-Levels

and this opportunity is hard to get after so many years of hard work...

which will be held at Victoria Concert Hall=) 3rd December.
Exams are on the verge of ending and i hope you guys would continue to work hard
sec2s, do not get discouraged because of the maths paper as i heard
that there was not enough time to do finish and had to leave blanks..
well i flunked my maths..
Band will resume after the Monday holiday which was in lieu of the
Deepavali=)
STUDY HARD!! TAKE CARE!!!=)
