Hey guys! How's the JBIC ticket sales? I've heard that we didn't sold much, why? Other schools have already sold more than 40 tickets, but we only sold around 10~20 tickets. Lets buck up in selling the tickets together! Make the whole concert hall full of audiences! (;
How are your common test results? I know that all of you studied very hard for this term's common test, and i'm very proud of you guys! It's okay to fail or to get only borderline marks, because at the end of the day, it's all about the effort that you contribute in your studies. Those who passed with flying colors, continue to work even harder! Those that didn't do that well, it's okay, i'm always behind your back, supporting you always! (;
I hope that today's band practice is productive for you, even though it may be ahem, boring. Mr Lin have to travel from Changi to Yewtee. He made the effort to come down to teach you guys, so be grateful! Do practice on your JBIC pieces and your OPUS pieces at the same time! They are both equally important!
To all the juniors, i'm so proud of you! It's YOUR concert. Cherish the moment and enjoy yourself on stage. Let's work hard together to make this year's JBIC concert a success! Love you guys always!
Signing off! (; (Oh! Don't forget that there's NO band on Friday as it's a holiday. But seniors, try your best to make your way down to junior band this Wednesday! )

Finally! This blog is alive again! Any updates or important notice will be either messaged to you or post here. So do check our new blog out! There's practice tomorrow @ 230pm. Report to the AVA room on time! Make sure that you are wearing your band badge or else punishment will be given. JBIC is just 2 combine practices away and OPUS is exactly 2 months and 1 day away! Are you excited for both JBIC and OPUS?
Senior, do help out your juniors especially in their rhythm**! The reason why they are unable to play is because their lack of knowledge in rhythm. If you always don't want to care about their progress in junior band, how are they going to survive when they are in senior band? Please reflect on yourself. Do your best in teaching them before you graduate, do as much as you can! Seniors, i believe in you!
Alright, it's late and i'm signing off. Drink more water and don't fall sick within this period. Goodnight bandies!

What does Opus mean to you?Was it just another concert, or was it more than that...I hope Opus for you meant more than just a concert....You attended school 5 days a week, practicing non-stop since the holidays started....You showcased all your hard work on stage and I hope you felt a sense of satisfaction...Opus was a test of commitment, time management and endurance and all of you passed that test! Opus also in a way drew the band closer together....We spent more than half the holidays together and bonded as a band! So Opus was really more than just a concert, it was much more than that really.....I hope the memories of Opus 6 sticks with you throughout your whole life...See you at the next band practice!:)

hello everyone! :D POP Rehearsals are on Friday! WOOOHOOO! Don't forget to fall in at 0730, NOT 0830 in your band tee, pe shorts with regent socks and pe attire for the sec 1's.. How do you guys feel? Are you prepared? I hope you guys have been practicing.... It may be tough now, but after SIBF, I'm sure your hard work will pay off, it would be all worth it... During the performance, you guys should concentrate, watch Mr Lim , take note of all the little details that makes a lot of difference.... But also, you guys should HAVE FUN! Don't get too tensed up and too stressed that you forget to embrace the last few moments you will have with your seniors before they move on to concentrate on their 'N' / 'O' Levels.... Make them proud, show them that all their hard work of teaching you as not in vain... Let them take their exams with a peace of mind...:D Sec 1's, try your best! Hey bandies! Tomorrow be in the music room by 2.30pm! Its just one more week to cultural night starting from tomorrow! Don't you guys feel worried, scared, panicking? Hopefully you guys made use of the sectionals yesterday, mostly sec3s. Do you guys feel that the sectionals were fruitful? Sec2s i hope you guys are working really hard, sort out YOURSELF, your rhythms your notes and stuffs, don't follow your senior's fingerings and so, it will only kill you in future. SIBF this year and do you guys think you are fully prepared or even least prepared for it? Even though its in July, but time flies. You have midyear exams, band breaks and POP and so on, not much time is left. Its April already, sec4s and 5s stepping down, sec3s would be the one leading the band, where did the sense of urgency in the band gone to? Think about how you want your sec1s to learn from you, do you want them to learn things properly or by 'side-reading' from their seniors. 4 more practices left to cultural night.

Hey guys! Countdown to 2 days before band camp starts! How's all of your cohort camps been? Remember to pack well for band camp, don't miss out on anything important like your clothings, toiletries and also your band files and technique books! I hope you guys have been practicing hard even though you've just came back from your cohort camps. Band camp is to have fun, as well as to learn much more, since we have time being spent together from day till night. Band camp should be used wisely, like sectionals time or even combine time, we should be using them to work hard on our pieces like Macbeth. So that we could improve better and then start on other new pieces. Etude challenge, how's everything going on? I hope you guys could at least play half of the etude book with correct rhythms and notes. You wouldn't want to throw your faces in front of affiliated schools isn't it. Looking forward to all your handwork and efforts placed into the camp, everyone of you counts. Take care, rest well and get ready to rock off the camp (:

Hey guys! Its the last paper for common test tomorrow! I'm sure after tomorrow you will have more time to practice your etudes, scales and your macbeth. Constantly remind yourself that you don't want to lose your faces, lose to other schools, lose to people who might be younger than you at the etude challenge during camp. I'm sure you want to be fully prepared and when other schools come, you would proudly stood up and say you want to challenge someone. Macbeth also, all of you have to work hard to improve it if you can play, ask if you don't know anything. Attendance, don't always make conductors come and go for nothing, going through etudes with us when we can do them ourselves at home. Make them come, use time wisely and go through with us scores like Macbeth, Concord. You have to work hard to achieve something you want, good things doesn't come as you want. Tomorrow there would be sec one band practice, SLs and ASLs be in the music room by 3pm! Make your sec ones excited for practice,don't make them feel left out (:
